DOES HERBAL TEA
HELPS TO REDUCE ACNE?
Did you know that between the ages of 11 and 30 around 95% of people get acne? This condition is caused when pores in your skin get blocked by dead cells and oil. Pimples develop most commonly on the face but these lesions may also break out on your chest, back, or shoulders.
According to Ayurveda, acne is a minor condition. It is believed to occur due to an imbalance in rakta (blood which is related mainly to the fire element, pitta), kapha (related to the elements of water and earth), and vata (related to the elements of air and ether) in the body.
Acne is not just caused by excess production of sebum, clogged hair follicles, inflammation, and bacteria but genetic factors, certain medicines, and hormonal changes can also be triggers. Include low-glycaemic foods to your diet and use herbs like Premium Green Tea, Chamomile, Spearmint, Dandelion and Nettle that have therapeutic properties to fight severe acne. Theseall herbs are combine in Skinluv Acne Relief Herbal Tea.
Acne: Causes And Triggers
Our skin contains small pores called hair follicles out of which hair grows. They are attached to glands known as sebaceous glands which produce sebum or oil to lubricate hair and skin. But if excess sebum is produced then it can blend with dead skin cells and plug hair follicles. This causes whiteheads or blackheads to form. Clogged pores can also get infected by bacteria which commonly live on your skin resulting in inflammation and the development of nodules, pustules, cysts, or papules. Excess production of sebum, clogged hair follicles, inflammation, and bacteria are the main factors that lead to acne. But other factors can increase your likelihood of suffering from this condition too:

Genetics
Oily skin might be a genetic characteristic that’s been passed on for generations in your family. This would mean that you’re prone to excessive sebum and therefore acne at all points in your life.
Cosmetics
Some types of makeup and personal care products can clog your pores, causing acne. So, be sure to choose products that are non-comedogenic.
Stress
Excessive stress gives rise to an additional amount of the stress hormone – cortisol. Cortisol can also trigger excessive sebum and send you down that road again.
Hygiene
Acne occurs when hair follicles are blocked with dead skin cells and oil. If you use equipment like bike helmets and sports equipment without washing your face, you may notice more acne as oil builds up.
Hormones
Changing hormone levels can cause worsening acne. This may occur during puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause

Pores become clogged if there is too much sebum and too many dead skin cells. Bacteria (especially one called Propionibacterium acnes) can then get trapped inside the pores and multiply. This causes swelling and redness — the start of acne. If a pore gets clogged up and closes but bulges out from the skin, you're left with a whitehead. If a pore gets clogged up but stays open, the top surface can darken and you're left with a blackhead. Sometimes the wall of the pore opens, allowing sebum, bacteria, and dead skin cells to make their way under the skin — and you're left with a small, red bump called a pimple
